One of the chief contract semiconductor microcircuits producer gave a positive estimation to AMD plans relative to the isolation of production in independent enterprise. Chartered Semiconductor Vice President ( marketing and technological collaboration ), Kevin Meyer , assumed that this step will enlarge the market for the 32- nm technology. In the opinion of Meyer, passage to the 32 nm standards can be the outstanding event . Let us recall, AMD was for Chartered the second largest customer . Meyer's assumed that AMD will transfer the release of graphic processors to the technical processes, developed by the alliance, which heads IBM . The important reasons are: 32nm chips can be 1,7 times more productive than 45 nm with the same energy consumption or  2,8 times more productive, if energy consumption was doubled. 32- nm production will not be expanded on mass scales, at least, prior to the end of 2010, As Meyer asserts.
