Deanzo, was able to raise the core frequency of radeon HD 5870 to 1380 MHz with the aid of liquid nitrogen. Voltage on the core was increased to 1.6 v with the aid of MSI utility.  Memory was overclocked from 4800 to 5400 MHz QDR. Actually, for the author of record it was almost possible to approach the core frequency 1400 MHz.  The overclocked to 4.75 GHz processor core i 7-975 Extreme edition allowed the video card radeon HD 5870 at frequencies 1380/5400 MHz to set a result in 3DMark vantage, equal to P24486.
