The use of multicore processors implies a increase in the productivity of system. Usually the limits of multicore processor is due to the bus capacity , which does not allow cores to obtain the necessary information amount. With a increase in the quantity of cores this problem is aggravated. Researchers from the state university of North Carolina (NC state) developed two procedures of increase in the effectiveness of processors.
The first procedure consists in the distribution of capacity between the cores. System solves what cores at the current moment requires the increased capacity, and allows it. The second procedure is based on the algorithm of preliminary data reduction, which will be required to core for fulfilling further work, and their retention in the processor cache, which will allow to avoid excess turnings to the external data sources. The leader of this project is the professor of electrical engineering and computer engineering doctor Yan solihin. Related Products :
