Server processors LGA 2011 (Sandy Bridge-EP architecture) are not formally announced and are expected only in March, but Intel already has engineering samples of Xeon E5 successors , which are made on 22 nm technology, and use Ivy Bridge-EP architecture .   The processor is compatible with LGA 2011, contains 10 cores (20 threads) and operates at the frequency of 2.8 GHz.  Each core has 256KB cache in the second level, the total amount of third-level cache is 30 MB.  In the test  wPrime 1024M processor has spent 158.5 seconds, Fritz Chess Chess benchmark is passed with a score of 20,054 points (or 41.78 times faster than the old Pentium III 1 GHz, which is considered the starting point), but in this case, all calculations were performed only in 8 threads .
