Modern technology of wireless Mobile charging do not gives users a very conditional freedom from wires, as the charger still need to be laid on a docking station, which cable is connected to a power outlet.
Texas Instruments- company on Friday announced that it is joining the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP), continuing to be a member of alternative Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), which promotes the wireless charging standard Qi, used, in particular, mobile devices, Nokia. As part of participation in A4WP company intends to develop solutions for wireless charging using magnetic resonance method.
A4WP also includes Samsung and Qualcomm, as well as several other companies. Cooperation with the two consortia, according to Texas Instruments, will allow the company to maintain its leadership in the segment of solutions for wireless charging. Over time, according to TI, the wireless charging technology will supersede the cables as was the case with Wi-Fi.
