Graphics processor GK110, used in some computing accelerators and graphics cards NVIDIA, contains 15 units SMX, each of which can be counted on 192 core CUDA. In the serial products, however, some of the blocks SMX are disabled, due, in particular, to problems with the production of a complex processor, consisting of more than 7 billion transistors, but today we can safely say about the maturity of 28-nm technology and the absence of preconditions for the emergence of a large number of defective
crystals.
Obviously, GK110 volumes with all 15 SMX which meet the quality, reach acceptable values, and NVIDIA has decided to keep them in business: at the annual SIGGRAPH public with its professional-class graphics card Quadro K6000, which have 2,880 cores CUDA.
Also GPU has 240 texture units, 48 ROP units and operates at a frequency of about 900 MHz. The memory controller 384 bits, the card has GDDR5 chips total of 12 GB. Their effective frequency is 6 GHz. Thef performance Level is 5.2 trillion floating point operations per second (single precision). The claimed TDP 225 watts.
The video card supports all of the latest proprietary technologies such as the possibility output to four monitors at resolutions up to 4K. The cost of the video card is not specified, but it can easily get up to $ 5000-7000.
At the same time NVIDIA introduced the high end solution professional level and mobile computers. The adapter is called Quadro K5100M.
