Known Chinese company MediaTek, specializing in the development of semiconductor products, is preparing new 64-bit processors for mobile devices. Their output will be held in the third quarter of this year, although initially it was thought that they come not before the fourth quarter.
According to the publication, in the next quarter MediaTek will release two new mobile processor with 64-bit architecture - quad and eight-MT6732 MT6752. Their specifications are still unknown to us, it is only said that they will be designed for smartphones budget and middle class. New processors should interest primarily manufacturers of mobile devices, which are focused on China and other emerging markets around the world.
Experts believe that releasing SoC MT6732 and MT6752, MediaTek company significantly increase competition in the segment of mobile processors with 64-bit architecture. Now this market consists of Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Intel, Broadcom and Marvell Technology.
As expected, the vast majority of entry-level smartphones and the middle class will be based on eight-core processors as well as 64-bit chips.
