Twice a year on the site TOP500.org published list of the most powerful supercomputers in the world, based on a data speed test complexes in Linpack. Today leading position is for the Chinese supercomputer Tianhe-2 teraflops performance 33862.7 (54902.4 teraflops peak).
Under the new rating in the United States remains the leader in the number of systems in use from the list - 233 supercomputer, although in November 2013 the share of the country had 265 complexes. The number of Chinese systems in the list increased to 76 units, which is comparable to the combined amount of supercomputers in France (27), Great Britain (30) and Germany (23).
The combined performance of all 500 computers listed in the list reached 274 petaflops. In November 2013, the figure was 250 petaflops, in June 2013 - 223 petaflops. The number of systems with a speed higher than one petaflops risen from 31 to 37 units in the six months since the publication 42 edition of the list.
Intel processors in TOP500 systems in 85.4%, IBM solutions occupy 8% and AMD controls 6% . A total of 62 systems from the list use accelerators calculations based on 44 supercomputer solutions NVIDIA, 17 - coprocessors Intel Xeon Phi, and involve only two cards AMD.
