We will check today Zerotherm processors cooler .
ZEROtherm BTF80/BTF90/BTF92 O.E.
In this review we will examine immediately three cooler APACK zEROtherm, which are very close each to other. Two models zEROtherm BTF80 and ZEROtherm BTF90 are practically twins and are distinguished only by the material radiator used ( BTF80 aluminum and in BTF90 copper); therefore here we will study only BTF80.
On the face side there is information about supported processor socket . On the reverse and lateral sides it is possible to reveal technical characteristics, and also the comparison with other cooler models :
This cooler (APACK zEROtherm) was made in Korea.
Each cooler come coupled with the following components:
Cooling unit are just beautiful.
The cooling systems BTF80/90 and BTF92 is identical. There are four copper thermal tubes with 6 mm diameter .
The sizes of BTF80/90 models are identical ( 100 x 94 x 77 mm ) with 458 and 678 grams weight , and here BTF92 is larger : its overall sizes are equal to 108 x 81 x 128 mm with 638 grams weight .
Those cooler are cooled by standard size fans 92 X 25 mm:
The models BTF80/90 use identical fan with speed control support (PWM). Thus, the fan speed is regulated automatically in the range 750 ~ 2 500 (±10%) rp/min with the maximum noise level 27 dB and air flow 42.8 CFM. The cooler model BTF92 O.E (O.E = OverClocker edition) got the increased size and also better fan, the rotation speed here varies in the range 1000 ~ 2 300 (±10%) rp/min ( note in practice, the fan speed is even higher than
the indicated in specifications 2 300 rp/min, and it is ~3 060 rp/min ).
The copper base make contacts immediately with 8 thermal tubes,.
Those cooler are compatible with most up to date AMD and Intel processor .
All three models has compact base; therefore there is no problem in installation in deferent motherboard :
The recommended cost of those coolers are : BTF80/90 – 30.99/31.99 dollars, and BTF92 O.E. 35.99 US dollars.
ZEROtherm BTF95 fanless
Here Accessories are located all in the same box :
As it is clear form the name ZEROtherm BTF95 is the passive cooler model , There is no fan:
This cooler is very beautiful and the radiator form has the same construction as above, it differ only in terms of smaller quantity of copper cooling fins (32 pieces) instead of (42):
The design change is completely logical here, with no fan this cooler use the case airflow .
Here the number of thermal tubes is the same as in BTF92 O.E.:
This cooler Weight, is less than BTF92 O.E , It is only 510 grams.
The recommended cost of such cooler is 33.99 dollars.
ZEROtherm nirvana NV120 premium
Well and finally the high end cooler APACK zEROtherm nirvana NV120 premium :
This cooling system just as previous models, was made in Korea.
This cooler is exceptionally beautiful in our view : -)
The massive radiator in nirvana NV120 premium is collected by 44 aluminum edges with 0.3 mm thickness , There is four copper thermal tubes with 6 mm diameter.
Here is the honeycomb structure : nonlinear arrangement of edges :
Due to this structure , in the opinion of APACK zEROtherm engineers , the air flow and the effectiveness of heat withdrawal grow :
Here is the base witch make direct contact with thermal tubes :
The quality of copper used in this cooler base is excellent :
The installation procedure of this cooler is analogous to models examined above :
This cooler do not cause any problem in installation :
The recommended cost of this cooler is only 39.99 US dollars (with reduction). Without reductions the cooler cost $59.9.

2. Test configuration
The configuration of system consisted on the following components:
2 x 1024 mb. DDR2 CSXO-XAC-1200-2GB-KIT DIABLO (1200 MHz/5-5-5-16/2.4 v);
HDD Disk : SATA- II 500 Gb, Samsung HD501LJ, 7200 rp/min, 16 mb., NCQ;
Optical Drive: SATA- II DVD RAM & DVD±R/RW & CD±RW samsung SH-S183L;
Case: ATX ASUS ASCOT 6AR 2B black&Silver
Control panel and monitoring: Zalman ZM-MFC2;
Power unit: Enermax galaxy EGA1000EWL 1000 watts
The weakest cooling system succeeded to overclock the four core processor to 4.0 GHz with 1.6 v .
All tests were under Windows XP professional edition SP2. For temperature monitoring we used the utility SpeedFan.
All technologies of automatic fan speed adjustment were switched off .
We used OCCT (OverClock checking tool) version 1.1.1b in peak load mode , with 23- minute testing period :
Room temperature during the test was controlled by electronic thermometer, in was maintained in the range 24.5 ~ 25 degree Celsius . I
the effectiveness of cooling systems
Here is the result obtained :
First we note the minimum difference in temperature between aluminum zEROtherm BTF80 and copper model BTF90.
In addition the overclocker model zEROtherm BTF92 O.E has about the same performance as other two cooler.
The cooler zEROtherm nirvana NV120 premium show better result and this is logical. But here Nirvana about equal to super-cooler thermalright ultra-120 eXtreme.
But where is the result of ZEROtherm BTF95 fanless? This passive cooling system was not able to overclock the four core processor to 4 gigahertz. For such propose BTF95 fanless was not developed. But here it is able to cool intel core 2 Extreme QX9650 at default setting and with peak temperature 68 degree Celsius:
In addition zEROtherm BTF95 fanless is able to overclock the four core processor to 3.41 GHz :
This is completely worthy results for such decorative cooler.
Noise level measurement
The noise level results are completely regular in all case .
Conclusion
zEROtherm nirvana NV120 premium with only four thermal tubes ( diameter 6 mm ) demonstrate the same effectiveness as Thermalright ultra-120 eXtreme. There is no Deficiencies;
