Agency analysts Jon Peddie Research summed up the second quarter on the market of graphics solutions. As noted, with respect to the previous quarter, the volume of GPU supply - including embedded solutions - increased by 3.2%, as compared to the second quarter of 2013 - 4.5%.
Volumes of supplies of AMD's GPU piece expression increased by 11% compared with the previous quarter. In particular, the 16.7% increase in the volume of supply of hybrid processors in the desktop segment, and 10.3% - in the mobile. Volumes of supplies of discrete desktop graphics cards fell by 10.7%, but this is partly offset by a significant - 30.6% - of the growth in the mobile segment.
Volumes of supplies Intel graphics as a whole increased by 4.1% due to the growth in the desktop (+ 7.2%) and mobile (1.9%) segments. The worst thing in the second quarter felt NVIDIA, which lost 8.3% on the volume of deliveries GPU relative to the first quarter. In the desktop segment of supply decreased by 21%, although in the mobile, they increased by 6.9%.
The ratio of graphics processors for PCs grew by 3.2% to 139%, but only 32% of computers equipped with discrete graphics, which is 3.6% less than in the previous quarter. In general, the PC market grew by 1.3% compared to the first quarter, but fell by 1.7% compared to last year.
