South Korean media reports that the share of Samsung in the structure of Apple orders to release 14-nm processors A9 can reach 75%. Who will serve the remaining quarter of orders, is not specified, but it may well be divided by GlobalFoundries and TSMC. Note that the latter is strongly dependent on Apple orders to release 20-nm processor A8, so it is unlikely the company wants to give in so easily rival for orders release of processors Apple next generation.
TSMC will not move to the use of 14-nm process technology, and immediately after the 16-nm switch to 10 nm. Perhaps this particular migration rooted conflict with Apple interests .
