The desktop version Fiji (Radeon R9 390X) can be dual-processor solution - each GPU would get 4 GB of memory type HBM, and the total amount of memory would reach 8 GB.
Colleagues say that two GPUs on a single card could better serve the needs of virtual reality helmets within the platform LiquidVR. Each processor generates image for one eye, and together they provide a stereoscopic image. While we have nothing against such benefits , with the current plans AMD , sources explained to us that the company is not going to produce dual-processor solutions based on Fiji. This does not mean that this video card will never be released , just before its appearance may take a lot of time.
