May 12 Blu-Ray Disc Association (BDA) has officially announced the completion of a new standard Ultra HD Blu-ray. It provides broadcast digital content in the format of 4K.
In a press release Blu-Ray Disc Association says that the new standard for Ultra HD Blu-ray in addition to the video with a resolution of 3840 pixels on 2160 (format Ultra HD), brings support for object-oriented audio formats such as Dolby Atmos, extended gamut, HDR video with a high frame rate.
For many years, Blu-Ray Disc is the standard high quality picture and sound at home. And Ultra HD Blu-ray will do the same for the home entertainment format UHD,
It is reported that the licensing standards Ultra HD Blu-ray will begin this summer. Now BDA is working closely with industry leaders to develop the tools and processes necessary to ensure compatibility between hardware and software. This will promote the development of a reliable ecosystem.
