At a recent quarterly reporting conference , NVIDIA chapter expressed the hope that the spread of virtual reality technology will raise the demand for Quadro professional graphics accelerators in the workstation segment, because it could help planners and designers to create three-dimensional models and virtual car interiors, allowing to assess consumer reaction before put their ideas into reality.
Yesterday NVIDIA company announced two new professional graphics adapter, presumably based on the GPU architecture Maxwell GM204 second generation. Many of the characteristics of new products, as well as their price, usually hidden from the wide range of consumers.
Quadro M5000 GPU GM204 is equipped with fully configured with 2048 cores CUDA. Eight gigabytes of GDDR5 memory in communication with the GPU on a 256-bit bus. Default frequency determined indirectly: 1050/6600 MHz. The graphics card TDP level up to 150W for connecting to the power supply uses a single six-pin connector traditionally unwrapped to the short side of the PCB.
Occupying the space of two expansion slots, Quadro M5000 offer four DisplayPort output on the rear panel and one DVI. It supports simultaneous operation with four monitors with a resolution of 4K. The peculiarity of this graphics card is also software support error correction when working with RAM.
Quadro M4000 is interesting because it is located in the space of a single expansion slot. At the heart of this professional video is still the same processor GM204, but with a reduced number of pieces to 1664 active core CUDA. The bus left 256-bit GDDR5 memory volume up to 8 GB. The frequencies are reduced to 780/6000 MHz, video card power consumption does not exceed 120 watts.
On the rear panel are located four outputs DisplayPort, which can simultaneously work with four monitors.
This graphics solution do not support Error correction function . Related Products :
