Google has updated the mobile version of the Maps application for the operating system iOS, adding some new features.
It is, first and foremost, support for off-line mode. Now, even without a network connection, you can use a route and turn-based navigation. To do this part of the map is stored in the memory of iPhone or iPad, allowing to navigate even without a connection.
Also, saved data - schedules institutions, ratings and contact details. But the installation of the route, taking into account public transport, as well as the construction of trails for walking, require a network connection. It is assumed that this, too, sooner or later will appear in Google Maps, although most likely it will not happen soon, because smartphones and tablets Apple's have a limited amount of memory.
