DATE:2016-01-14
In the first half of 2016, according to Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, the global demand for notebooks will remain weak. However, the chances of sales growth in the second half still there.
Rising sales of its laptops in 2016 can be seen only Apple. Shipments of laptops Hewlett-Packard (HP), Dell and Lenovo will remain the same, but Acer and Asustek Computer altogether can record a drop in sales of notebook computers.
As for the contract manufacturer of laptops, Quanta in December last year has put 4 million laptops, Compal supplies 3.7 million notebooks every month, and Inventec produces up to 1.85 million pcs per month, including laptops, ultrabooks and device format all-in-one.
Sources pointed out that in the first half notebook manufacturers will follow a conservative strategy of placing the short-term orders. But this strategy may be a threat to ODM-producers.
