According to the latest data, in the not too distant future, Microsoft will release a successor to hybrid notebook Surface Book. It is reported that the announcement of new products, which will likely be called the Surface Book 2, could take place this June.
However, the issue may linger, with a sufficiently long period of time. It is reported that Microsoft is waiting for the release of new Intel Kaby Lake processors to use them in its new laptop, but these processors are likely to linger until the third quarter this year. And there is still two options: either Microsoft uses Intel Skylake, or postpone the release of Surface Book 2 at the end of this year or early next year.
Presumably, Surface Book second generation will receive some fairly significant improvements over the existing version. So, it is reported that the 13.5-inch display new items will have a resolution of 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) instead of 2000 x 3000 pixels. It also reported the presence of USB port Type-C, through which, including the image can be displayed on an external display.
