According to DigiTimes, as its manufacturing partner for Apple iPhone assembly in India has chosen Taiwanese company Wistron. It will take to the iPhone release in India this year.
It is noted that Wistron is now expanding its production capacity in the Chinese city of Kunshan, as well as in India. As the demand for Wistron in India can join Foxconn and other contract manufacturers.
CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wistron Simon Lin , for obvious reasons, declined to comment on the matter. However, he said he expects growth in orders from partners on the issue of smartphones, servers, desktops and devices "Internet of Things", while the volume of laptops manufacture will remain the same.
