The global smartphone market  slowdown according to analysts from research firm Gartner.  They predict that in 2016 the pace of growth in smartphone shipments for the first time in a long time will be in the single digits. According to NextPowerUp, Gartner analysts predict that by the end of 2017 shipments of smart phones will amount to 1.5 billion copies, which is only 7% compared to last year, when 1.44 billion smartphones were sold.  For comparison, in 2015 the pace of the global smartphone market growth was 14.4%.
