 We have previously reported that the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 , which will be faster version of the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM98996) will be made on 10-nanometer process technology.  And now the publication Fudzilla reported that in compliance with similar standards will be released SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 828 and Snapdragon 830, which will hit the market this year.

Source publication argues that the use of 10-nanometer process technology will reduce energy consumption and transistors size  .    They will  be also equipped with built-in LTE-modem X16 1 Gb / s to 4x20 MHz frequencies and speeds of up to 150 Mbit / s.

Single-chip platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 (MSM8998) will receive an improved GPU Adreno 540.  It also will support memory 4 xLPDDR 4X and feature Qualcomm Quick Charge (SMB1351) fast charging.  As for the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 828, it will be Adreno 519 graphics and LTE-modem Qualcomm X12 (600 Mbit / s and 150 Mbit / s).  Other features are still unknown.

Snapdragon 830 is a direct successor to the Snapdragon 820, Qualcomm and 828, probably will replace the Snapdragon 808 or  Snapdragon 810. Both new processor will be presented in the fourth quarter  this year, and the first mobile devices based on them will make their debut in the late first or early second quarter of next year.

This week Barclays company  analyst Mark Moskowitzreported that Apple plans to abandon the traditional iPhone update cycle and the next year instead of the widely anticipated iPhone 7s, which is a slightly improved version of the iPhone 7 will release a brand new iPhone 8.

In 2017 instead of the iPhone 7s Apple has to introduce the iPhone 8. It is, according to its own sources Mark Moskowitz, it will be equipped with OLED-display and receive wireless charging support.

Earlier sources said that according to the concluded contract with Apple South Korean company Samsung Display starting in 2017 will supply 5.5-inch,  OLED panel, which will find its application in the future iPhone.

And this fall, is expected to debut iPhone 7, which will include LTE-modem Intel.  On this hint Qualcomm's CEO, who, during the announcement of financial results for the last quarter, said his "biggest client" their future orders can give a competitor company.  According to 9to5Mac, given that one of Qualcomm's largest customer is Apple  company, it is possible that the LTE-modems for its next iPhone, it will order from Intel.  This news triggered a drop in Qualcomm shares by 2.5%.

Recall, Intel this week announced the impending dismissal of about 12 thousand employees.

Currently, for the production of electronic devices on flexible plastic substrates taken to use materials based on organic substances.  Scientists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison is considered that the potential of silicon in this case has not yet been exhausted, and the characteristics of silicon transistors on plastic basis will not be inferior to their counterparts on silicon substrates.

To produce with  10 nm is used so-called nano-print lithography , when manufactured high strength stamped with subsequent cycles produce impression on the medium with the photosensitive layer.  Instead of an expensive projection installation with its technological challenges, stamping simplifies a number of processes for the production of semiconductors, but also suffers from  problems, for example - from the rapid wear.

stamp form is manufactured using high-precision, but very slow electron-beam projection, when the target is bombarded with a beam of electrons.  Then, at the stage of forming, the manufacturing speed chip compensates for this "deficiency".

University scientists claim that obtained with the development of their transistors on a polyethylene substrate showed performance at a frequency of 38 GHz.  Software process simulation suggests that this method is suitable for the creation of a 110-GHz transistors.  This means that the method is suitable for the production of radio frequency chains wearable electronics.

VideoCardz published slides from the official launch Radeon Pro Duo, which should not appear in public until 26 April.

To the power supply the card is connected via  new three Eight-pin  connectors, TDP level does not exceed 350 watts.

The list of specifications operates with a set of parameters of both GPUs.  So, they have 8 GB of memory for two HBM type, but in reality each processor Fiji has to deal with only 4 GB of memory.  Accordingly, doubled and all other characteristics.  Nominal frequency - 1000/500 MHz.  HBM type of memory, though not working on very high frequency, up to a decent bandwidth through the use of 4096-bit bus.

Radeon Pro Duo  one and a half times faster than the GeForce GTX Titan X, or 30% bypasses Radeon R9 295X2.
