During the first days of ceBIT 2010 exhibition appeared information about the requirements of GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 for the power system:  for the first video card was recommended the power unit with not less than 600 W, for the second - not less than 550 W. Of course these indices did not reflect the maximum energy consumption level,  since the power unit was designed for the work and with other system components.    Associate gives more precise information about the energy consumption level of fermi video card. According to our associates, GeForce GTX 480 will consume not more than 298 W, and GeForce GTX 470 - not more than 225 W. For comparison we report that Radeon HD 5870 consumes not more than 188 W, and Radeon HD 5970 - not more than 294 W. In this case Radeon HD 5970 is a two-chip video card. The new cooling systems arctic cooling for video card radeon HD 5970 and Radeon HD 5870 already appeared on the exhibition ceBIT 2010 - both as an independent product and on with sapphire video cards. Yesterday  arctic cooling company officially presented the cooler accelero xtreme 5970 and Accelero xtreme 5870. Both coolers are equipped with battery with three fans standard size 92 mm with the function Shim- control.   The last parameter can vary in the range from 900 to 2000 rp/min, maximum air flow reaches 81 cubic foot per minute (138 cu. m/h). Similar layout caused the close overall dimensions: 290 x 104 x  58 mm for Accelero xtreme 5970 and 290 X 104 X 56 mm for Accelero xtreme 5870. The first cooler in this case have eight heat pipes and 119 aluminum edges, and the second - five heat pipes and 84 aluminum edges. Accordingly, differs the mass of the :  692 gram for Accelero xtreme 5970 and 632 gram for Accelero xtreme 5870. Accelero xtreme 5970 is capable to hold 300 W of heat, Accelero xtreme 5870 250 W of heat. In comparison with the standard cooling systems, these coolers s reduces the temperature of video chip to 40 and 36 degree Celsius, respectively. Accelero xtreme 5970 will appear during May on the recommended price $76.95, accelero xtreme 5870 will get in retail during April, its price will be equal to $67.95.
