Plextor M8Se is another example of Plextor tradition: show a novelty, then for a long time  carry it on exhibitions and in every way tease its fans.  The first loud mention of the family Plextor M8Se SSD-drives is demonstration of samples on Computex 2016 in June 2016.  Then a promise to release soon in the frame of Plextor M8P release in August 2016.  After - one more show on CES2017 in January 2017 .  And only now the Plextor M8Se drives got the status of an officially released product.

The hardware platform of the novelty did not hide initially:   Marvell controller 88SS1093 and  15-nm planar TLC NAND, manufactured by Toshiba.  The range of options is extremely large: M8Se-Y (PCIe expansion card, which is a PCIe x4 >> M.2 adapter with installed drive and heat sink), M8Se-G (M.2 size 2280 with radiator) and M8Se-GN (M. 2 sizes 2280 without a radiator) will be offered in volumes of 128, 256, 512 GB and 1 TB.  Plextor does not elaborate on the performance of each version , but simply states up to 2450 MB / s and 210 thousand IOPS on reading and up to 1000 MB / s and 175 thousand IOPS on the record.

The recommended prices start from 83 euros for 128 GB to 494 euros for 1 terabyte.

POSTER: computer news   ||   THE NEXT GENERATION OF AMD RYZEN PROCESSORS WILL RETAIN SOCKET AM4 PERFORMANCE

DATE:2017-05-24

AMD Representatives have already reported that the design of Socket AM4 has come to the market for a long time.  Consumers are now trying to clarify over what term AMD will ensure the compatibility of future processors with existing motherboards.  AMD representatives had to admit that in current motherboards with socket AM4 it will be possible to install not only hybrid processors Raven Ridge, which will be released in the next half of the year, but also "discrete" central processors of the next generation.    As we know, Zen architecture first generation will give life to the updated Ryzen processors, which will be manufactured using a more advanced version of the 14-nm technology, and only then will be 7-nm processors with the Zen 2 architecture .

At the same time, AMD representatives urge users to take a sober look at things, talking about the need to change the processor socket when implementing support for a new generation of memory or PCI Express 4.0. All these innovations will require switching to a new processors design  , but AMD will try to stick to Socket AM4 for as long as the infrastructure allows.

The question of further improving the frequency potential of Ryzen processors from AMD representatives was discussed .  They admitted that the company will work to improve the frequency potential, but consumers should understand that the first-generation Ryzen were not in the best conditions for this: these processors combine a new process technology with a new architecture.  By the way, for sure, taking into account this factor, a new revision of processors with Zen architecture of the first generation will use a more modern version of 14-nm technology, and not immediately switch to 7-nm technology with a new architecture.

Speaking about the reasons for placing pin pins on the processor body (PGA), and not the motherboard (LGA) connector, AMD representatives recognized that both versions are equivalent in terms of reliability.  The decisive factor was the lower cost of PGA for the end user.

POSTER: computer news   ||   AMD COMPACT CRYSTALS ARE MORE PROFITABLE IN PRODUCTION

DATE:2017-05-24

Lisa Su at an event on Monday took to discuss the slowdown of the so-called "Moore's Law," which forces market participants to look for new ways to improve the computing speed  .  As an example of an effective layout solution, the head of AMD was led not only by the Vega graphics processor with built-in memory HBM2 type, but also by the EPYC (Naples) server processor, which on one substrate combines four eight-core chips connected by the Infinity Fabric high-speed interface.

The general director of AMD once again recalled the obvious fact: compact crystals are cheaper in production. In addition, they have a higher yield products level  .  All this allows AMD to keep the cost of production at a low level.  Last week, the company's representatives inspired the audience that an increase in the rate of return is very important for AMD.

POSTER: computer news   ||   GEFORCE GTX 1080 TI AT FREQUENCIES OF 2569-12856 MHZ HAS UPDATED THE RECORD OF 3DMARK TIME SPY

DATE:2017-05-24

EVGA company ,  did not create its version of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with its pseudonym in the title, it is practiced on video cards of the reference design.  Overclocker already has a "secret weapon" in the form of a fifth-generation E-Power daughter card that turns the standard GeForce GTX 1080 Ti into "Frankenstein" with the ability to externally control the power system in a much wider range than the standard means allow.

In the 3DMark  Spy test, 13 728 points were scored for the American enthusiast  with Core i7-6950X CPU at 5149 MHz,  also cooled by liquid nitrogen.

As a thermal interface was used the proprietary thermal paste K | ngp | n Cooling, the same brand provided  tanks for liquid nitrogen.
