POSTER: computer news || THE MANUFACTURER OF VIDEO CARDS ACCUSES NVIDIA OF LACK OF INTEREST IN OVERCLOCKING

We have already written about the abuse of component manufacturers with interest in gaming components. A rare graphics card or motherboard nowadays does not have the suffix "Gaming" in the name, but the totality of its consumer qualities may not suit the final customer, who has fallen for the current name. This problem was once again voiced in an open letter on the pages of the Reddit resource by the famous Swedish enthusiast Elmor , who has long worked at the Taiwan headquarters of Asustek Computer, helping to create motherboards and video cards for enthusiasts and overclockers.
Although he acknowledges that the Asus ROG products are not ideal, especially with regard to software and service support, Elmor blames other motherboards and video cards manufacturers for lack of progress. According to him, to make a really interesting motherboard, it is not enough to hang it with LED ribbons. Many of the comrades of the Swedish overclocker "on the shop" are working for Asus competitors, but they have not given decent products in recent months.
From the American champion K | ngp | n and the Ukrainian engineer TiN , who give the world the best products in the EVGA model range, the Swedish friend is waiting for new products like a special version of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. In general, as the author of the letter admits, NVIDIA recently not only lost interest in the creation of overclocked video cards, but also with all the forces prevents their appearance. Manufacturers of video cards are deprived of many opportunities to change the settings that were available to them earlier.
"The best friends of overclockers" Elmor calls AMD and Intel. Both companies provide full support to motherboards developers . However, such recognition somehow does not fit with the recent statements of Intel , calling not to overclock the processor Core i7-7700K to eliminate the abnormal behavior of the temperature sensor. And the classic topic of the thermal interface of dubious quality under the cover of mass models of Intel processors always comes to mind when it comes to the care of the corporation about its consumers.
I got it from the motherboard developer and the reviewers. According to them, they pay too little attention to the interesting functions of motherboards, reviews are superficial, one-type, and at the same time mostly devoid of criticism. Meanwhile, criticism of reviewers should help manufacturers of motherboards improve their products. Elmor encourages review authors to approach the search for the disadvantages of motherboards more responsibly.

POSTER: computer news || MEDIUM BUSINESS IN JAPAN ACTIVELY REPLACES EMPLOYEES WITH ROBOTS

One well-known contract manufacturer of smartphones has faced increasing demands of Chinese workers in terms of wages, then decided to invest more actively not only in the acquisition of robots, but also in their production. To realize the need to automate the production of the company come in different ways, and Reuters recently explained why this is happening in Japan among the representatives of medium-sized businesses. Under medium-sized companies in this case, it is customary to understand organizations with a staff of 100 to 499 people.
Japan is facing a rapid aging of the population. And if earlier we had to hear that robots are needed by the country to care for elderly citizens, but now the opinion is voiced that they are also required to fill vacancies that could previously have been occupied by people of working age. The number of the latter reached a peak in 1995 - then there were about 87 million people of working age in the country. At present, their number has decreased to 76 million people, and by 2065 it may have been reduced to 45 million people.
This financial year, which began in April in the calendar of Japanese companies, is likely to show growth in revenue from robot manufacturers, the source said. According to some forecasts, Japanese companies of medium size will raise the investment by 17.5%, and some of this amount will be spent on equipping production with robots.
The company Kawasaki, which produces a universal "humanoid" robot height of 170 cm, notes the growing demand for its products from electronics manufacturers, drugs and food. Hitachi, which produces construction equipment, notes the growing demand for robotic excavators that use the GPS satellite positioning system to determine the "work front". The use of such construction equipment reduces the expenditure of time by half.
In one of the Japanese hotels, there are only three people for 100 rooms, the rest are 140 robots and an artificial intelligence system. In each room, for example, there is a "personal assistant" with the function of recognizing faces and voice, which is able to handle and perceive the voice requests of guests. Initially, such assistants were developed for home use, but now the demand for robots of this profile is demonstrated not only by hotels, but also by hospitals and banks. Experts believe that China and South Korea can use the experience of Japan to solve similar demographic problems that they will face in a few years.

There were rumors that the processors Skylake-X, designed for high-performance desktop systems (HEDT), will be released in a new line of Intel Core i9. Our colleagues from Guru3D have found the first results of synthetic performance tests for the new Intel Skylake-X processors.
Our colleagues found the results of testing the two older models of the new line in the UserBenchmark performance test. These are Intel Skylake-X processors, which have 10 and 12 physical cores, which, according to unofficial data, will be called Core i9-7900X and Core i9-7920X, respectively. The UserBenchmark test evaluates processors based on integer and floating point calculations.
The processor Core i9-7900X showed a result of 107 points with one active core, and 1467 points using all ten cores. The base frequency of the processor was 3.1 GHz, but frequencies in Turbo Boost modes are not specified. In turn, the 12-core Core i9-7920X processor showed a result of 130 and 1760 points, in single and multi-core modes, respectively. According to the test, its base frequency was 2.9 GHz, and the average Boost-frequency was 3.25 GHz.
For comparison, the current flagship - the 10-core Intel Core i7-6950X processor, in this test demonstrates the results in 116 points and single-core and 1525 points in the multi-core mode. That is, the performance of Intel's new 10-core desktop processor will be about the same as that of the current 10-core flagship. The number of gamers is increasing every year, and there is absolutely nothing surprising in that the leadership position in the profitability for the gaming industry has been for a year already in China with its huge and developed population .
Portal Newzoo predicted that this year the Chinese will spend more than $ 27.5 billion on games. At the same time, the number of Chinese with access to the Internet is more than 801.6 million people. On the second place with a small lag, which is also not surprising, are the United States. In the current year, 261.17 million Internet users of Americans will increase the total revenue of gaming companies by $ 25 billion. The top three are Japan with 12.5 billion of projected revenue
with 120 million people with Internet access.
Russia is located on the 11th position of the "top" between Italy and Mexico. According to the forecasts of Newzoo, 113.3 million Internet users in Russia will spend almost $ 1.5 billion on games. The ratio of revenue and "Internet population" to its neighbors by "top" - Italy and Mexico - is 1.87 billion by 43.1 million and 1.42 billion by 84.1 million, respectively.
For example, the average German spends about $ 60 a year on games, the Korean $ 90, and the American 96 dollars. Most of all the game variety is appreciated in Japan, spending an average of $ 105 per game per year.
