AMD explains in its report, 78% of the proceeds from the sale of products in the reporting period came from abroad. In mid-May, the Taiwanese company HTC will introduce its new flagship called U 11. The novelty, based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, demonstrated an impressive result in the benchmark GeekBench. As reported by GSMArena , HTC U 11 is tested in GeekBench.  In the benchmark it is designated as HTC CBP.  The smartphone is based on the 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (MSM8998) with a clock speed of 1.9 GHz, which is supplemented with 4 GB of RAM.  And it runs under the mobile operating system Android 7.1.1 Nougat. In the GeekBench HTC U 11 scored 1912 points in the single-core mode and 6137 points in the multi-core.  For comparison, the result of Samsung Galaxy S8, which is based on the same chip as the HTC U 11, is 1832 points in a single core test and 6301 points in a multi-core test. Recall, the official announcement of HTC U 11 is scheduled for May 16.  In addition to the flagship Qualcomm processor, it will also receive a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 12-megapixel main and a 16-megapixel front camera and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory.  The main feature of the new flagship HTC will be a touch frame Edge Sense around the body. One of the problems gaining popularity of productive compact systems is the cooling of the processor, because powerful air coolers have very large dimensions.  And a very good solution can be a system of liquid cooling.  Especially for the compact motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z270I Gaming of the size Mini ITX, the company EK Water Blocks introduced a new processor waterblock of the "monoblock" class, called EK-FB ASUS Z270I Strix RGB Monoblock. Processor waterblocks of the monoblock type differ in that besides the processor itself they also cool the elements of the motherboard's power supply, which is especially important when the system is running in an overclocked state, when the elements themselves can be heated at least as much as the processor itself.  The base of the new EK-FB ASUS Z270I Strix RGB Monoblock is made of copper and covered with a layer of nickel to protect against corrosion. Like all modern water blocks EK Water Blocks, the new EK-FB ASUS Z270I Strix RGB Monoblock is equipped with a scheme for separating the flow of coolant, which should improve the efficiency of heat exchange.  It is also important to note that the coolant flows directly to the area of the water block that are in contact with the processor, which also has a positive effect on efficiency.  Another manufacturer notes the low hydraulic resistance of the novelty, which allow to use even low-power pumps. The top part of the water block EK-FB ASUS Z270I Strix RGB Monoblock is made of transparent acrylic.  The novelty is equipped with LED RGB-backlight, which is fully compatible with Asus Aura, which allows you to synchronize it with the illumination of the motherboard.  The backlight is connected via the 4-pin connector.  By the way, the backlight can be turned off, or completely remove the LED tape (a black strip in the bottom of the water block). This week Acer introduced a new gaming laptop Predator Triton 700, one of the key features of which is a very small thickness of the case - only 18.9 mm.  The manufacturer did not say which video card was used in the novelty, but only presented data on its performance, which pushed our colleagues from NotebookCheck to very interesting conclusions. According to Acer, the Predator Triton 700 laptop is much ahead of thin gaming laptops from other manufacturers, showing a result of 17,000 points in the 3DMark11 test.  This is much less than the result of the GeForce GTX 1080, but higher than the GeForce GTX 1070. At the same time, Acer did not specify the name of the video card used in the novelty, and one of the possible reasons for this may be that this video card has not yet been officially introduced. After our colleagues could get to know the laptop closer, they found out the name of the video card and the reason for its lagging behind the original model.  The Predator Triton 700 notebook uses a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with all active CUDA cores, but with a much lower base clock frequency, which is 1290 MHz, compared to 1556 MHz for the original model.  Journalists nicknamed this modification of the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q video card. Due to lower frequencies, the new version of the mobile GeForce GTX 1080 will consume much less power.  It is assumed that its TDP will be 110W compared to 165W for last year's version.  All other characteristics of the video card should remain unchanged.  By the way, besides the more economical version of GeForce GTX 1080, the updated GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q will  be also released, which will be limited to 90 W, instead of 120 W.  Probably, the new NVIDIA graphics cards will be presented at the Computex exhibition in a month.
