As it was recently revealed, Intel plans to introduce the family of desktop processors Coffee Lake earlier than originally planned, and this is connected, of course, with the success of AMD Ryzen processors.  Now one of the upcoming processors appeared in the SiSoftware performance test database.  More precisely, our colleagues found a record about testing a very interesting engineering sample of the processor. This sample is interesting in that, according to the record, it has six physical cores, each of which provides only one computational flow.  This engineering sample works at a frequency of 3.5 GHz.  The processor has 1.5 MB of L2 cache (256 kByte per core) and 9 MB of L3 cache.  This volume of  L3 cache is somewhat puzzling, because the processors Coffee Lake should be very similar to its predecessors - Kaby Lake, which have 2 MB of L3 cache per core.  That is, it would be logical if this sample had 12 MB of L3 cache.  And either Intel cut the cache size, or it's just an error.   The fact that the processor has only six computational flows may indicate its belonging to the Core i5 line, because all processors of the Core i7 family support Hyper Threading.  If this leak is true, then this will be Intel's first 6-core processor for the mass market segment.   It would be logical to assume that Intel will introduce Core i7 processors with 6 cores and 12 threads in the Coffee Lake family.Theoretically, such solutions can be approximately at the same level as the 6-core Core i5, which makes them meaningless.  It can also be assumed that the 4-core models will "move" with the Core i3 family.   Select Rating : Currently 10.00/10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 48498 Rating: 10.0/10 (22 votes cast) In SiSoft database appeared a 6-core Intel Coffee Lake processor	Add Comment ( 1 ) IN SISOFT DATABASE APPEARED A 6-CORE INTEL COFFEE LAKE PROCESSOR

AMD has already managed to market Ryzen processors in the upper and middle price segments, and Radeon RX video cards of the 500 series in the middle and initial levels, and now the company is waiting for only the productive video cards based on Vega graphics processors. Just a few hours ago was held the release of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 . If anyone suddenly forgot, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will tell about the important task of the American sniper Jonathan North, who was sent to the northern border of Georgia, in order to deal with the hotbed of resistance that burns there, which threatens to develop into a major military clash with Georgia's huge neighbor. In Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 there are all standard for the modern shooter elements: non-linearity, open world, weather and time of day, and, of course, numerous options for customization of weapons and equipment. We already know that the debut of the Intel X299 platform (Basin Falls) will take place at the end of May - at least "on paper".  The processors in the LGA 2066 version will be divided into two families.  Those that are simpler and cheaper (Kaby Lake-X), will offer four computing cores and two memory channels.  More expensive Skylake-X will be compatible with the same motherboards, but will offer more lines of PCI Express, four-channel memory and up to 12 cores.  The flagship model, however, will be released only in August. But to the processors of Kaby Lake-X already now nothing prevents to pass tests and register results in the SiSoftware database.  In this "open source" left a trace processor Core i7-7740K, which worked in the motherboard Gigabyte based on  Intel X299.   The Core i7-7740K processor runs at 4.3 / 4.5 GHz, it is equipped with a free multiplier, 8 MB cache and supports Hyper-Threading, judging by its description in the SiSoftware Sandra database.
