Motorola, a division of the Chinese corporation Lenovo, is preparing for the release of several new smartphones under the brand Moto.  Press photos of Moto C, Moto C Plus, Moto E4 and Moto Z2 was published by Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor-in-chief of the online edition Nowhereelse, also known as OnLeaks. Moto C and Moto C Plus will open a new series of budget smartphones.  They are clad in a plastic case and have capacitive navigation buttons.  They are also equipped with a front and main camera, each of which is supplemented with its own LED flash.   Moto E will receive a metal case with thin inserts for antennas on the back.  Above its display is a speaker and a front camera with an LED flash, and under it is a physical Home button of the oval shape with a built-in fingerprint scanner.  The main camera is complemented by a dual LED flash. As for the Moto Z2, it, like the other three smartphones, will be equipped with a front camera with a flash.  Well, its main feature will be a dual main camera, which slightly protrudes from the thin shell.  On the back side of the smartphone, in addition to the main camera, there will also be a magnetic mount for connecting MotoMods modules.  Apparently, Moto Z2 will represent the flagship model and it is possible that it will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The material on the DigiTimes site is formally devoted to the misadventures of motherboard manufacturers, which in the first quarter noticeably lost in sales volumes compared to the same period last year.  The same Asustek and Gigabyte shipped 3.5 million and 3.8 million cards, respectively.  Even the gaming segment led manufacturers: Kaby Lake processors did not cause a significant change in demand, there were almost no new games in the first quarter, and AMD Ryzen 7 boards remained in short supply.  However, now special hopes are connected with the appearance of AMD Ryzen 5 processors on the market. IDC specialists, who had already processed the statistics of the first quarter, managed to find "glimpses of hope" for the PC market, as in the annual comparison the volume of output even increased by 0.6%.  Of course, the authors of the study referred to the fact that manufacturers tried to release more laptops at "old prices" before picking up them due to more expensive drives and RAM modules, as well as displays and battery cells. A similar study by Gartner gives results that are at variance with IDC estimates.  First of all, 62.18 million PCs were sold in the first quarter, which is 2.4% less than the results of the same period last year.  Secondly, the largest PC manufacturer by Gartner is Lenovo, not HP Inc. Experts note that demand for PCs remains at an acceptable level only in the corporate segment, and consumers either postpone the moment of purchase of a new computer, or generally switch to devices of other form factors. Yesterday the PC-version of Bayonetta was released, a game that many boyars had been waiting for for seven years.  In this regard, the portal PC Gamer talked with representatives of the studio Platinum Games (developer), of which it was possible to get a lot of interesting information. As it turned out, developers from Platinum Games respect PC-gaming and are convinced that it is impossible to ignore this gaming platform.  What is curious, the developers were true to their convictions from the very beginning and did not renounce them for a single moment.  Why, then, some of their games have remained in the past - on long-dated obsolete PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U? All decisions regarding platforms, dates and other things are taken from the top - the publisher.  That's where the problem lies.  The representatives of the studio even noted that with great pleasure they would have ported all their games to computers if they could. In any case, now most of the publishers obviously that it's more expensive to leave PC gamers in a broken trough, so Platinum Games hopes that its future games will at least appear more often on computers.  The studio already confirmed its words by releasing Nier: Automata last month on all current platforms.
