South Korean company Hyundai Motor is not going to lag behind competitors in the development of electric vehicles, and is actively investing in creating its own platform for cars on electric traction, as representatives of the automaker admitted in an interview with Reuters .  Although the development of a promising platform will take several years, next year there will be compact crossovers of the brands Hyundai and KIA, capable of a charge to travel up to 300 km.  These cars promise to be more affordable than comparable in size electric vehicles competitors. Now Hyundai and KIA are also experimenting with hybrid cars, and by 2025 they promise to introduce serial cars on hydrogen fuel cells.  Representatives of Hyundai argue that the latter technology has a market potential in the long term, and it would be wrong to write it off.  Modern electric vehicles have their shortcomings, as Koreans recognize.  For example, electric vehicles with a large power reserve are charging for too long.  In addition, demand is constrained by the poor development of the charging infrastructure.  Government incentives in the form of subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles can not last forever, which will also limit the demand at a certain stage.  In China, due to dictated by the government conditions, Korean electric vehicles will have to be equipped with local batteries.  In the foreseeable future, the Chinese market will remain one of the largest, if we talk about the sale of electric vehicles. By the way, it is for the needs of the Chinese market that Hyundai and KIA will offer electric versions of their sedans and crossovers in the near future, as well as develop new models for electric traction together with Chinese partners.  By 2025, as Korean automakers expect, up to 10% of new vehicles will be powered by electric traction.  In the luxury segment, Koreans will offer a Genesis rechargeable hybrid in 2019, and the first electric car under this name will be released in 2021.  Hyundai realizes that if you do not start investing in the development of electric vehicles now, then tomorrow may already be too late.  However, while the demand for such machines is artificially fueled by the tightening of environmental requirements in the US, Europe and China, and from the economic point of view, the purchase of an electric car does not yet benefit, as Koreans recognize. Xiaomi company  has updated the notebook Mi Notebook Air.  The new 12.5-inch model retained its previous design, but at the same time received a slightly updated "stuffing". The updated 12.5-inch model Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is based on the Intel Core m3-7Y30 processor (Kaby Lake), whose performance grew by 12% compared to the previous generation.  The laptop is presented in two versions with different amount of built-in memory.  The younger version is equipped with a built-in drive for 128 GB, and the older one - with a drive for 256 GB. Receiving pre-orders for the updated Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air started the day before, March 30.  128-gigabyte model can be ordered for about $ 520, and the cost of a 256-gigabyte version is $ 580.
