Xiaomi had postponed the announcement of the new flagship smartphone Mi6 due to delays in the deliveries of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. According to their information, it will be presented in May, and not in April, as originally planned.  And today there was information that Xiaomi will install in one of the three versions of Mi6 Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and will release it earlier than the model based on Snapdragon 835. The video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti even in the reference version of Founders Edition showed really impressive performance.  However, no doubt, the GP102 GPU is capable of more, which was proved by the first reviews of non-standard versions of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, published by our western colleagues. Resource Hexus published a review of the video card Inno3D GeForce GTX 1080 Ti iChill X3, or rather its pre-release model.  From the version that arrives at the store shelves, this sample is distinguished by the lack of a DVI-D connector, as well as the lack of support for the 0dB function, which disables the fans at low load.   The graphic processor of the tested GeForce GTX 1080 Ti iChill X3 was overclocked in the factory to 1607/1721 MHz, and video memory - 11 408 MHz.  The TDP value for this video card has grown to 280 watts.  Also, it is very likely that the final version will receive higher operating frequencies, so our colleagues decided to increase the clock frequency of the GPU by 50 MHz, to 1657/1771 MHz.  Below are the results of tests in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels).     In turn, our colleagues from TechPowerUp have published an overview of the video card Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Strix OC.  This graphics card is already built on the Asus's own design PCB with a power system consisting of 10 + 2 phases, as well as a pair of 8-pin connectors. We get the opportunity to make sure that the Pinnacle Ridge processors do not come out before 2018, and they will have up to eight processing cores - most likely already with the Zen + architecture.  At the platform level, nothing should change, the new processors will be able to work in the previous motherboards with the socket AM4 and use DDR4 memory. By promoting processors with  new Zen's architecture to the market, AMD has to not only interact with software developers to optimize their products, but also to educate users.  The next entry in the corporate blog of AMD is devoted to recommendations for setting system parameters that significantly affect the performance level  .  Using a "productive" power profile in Windows 10 is just one of the recommendations.  AMD also recommends upgrading the BIOS of the motherboard more often - fresh versions work better with the same Windows 10, increasing the CPU speed . Particular attention is paid to the configuration of the memory system.  As it turns out, AMD Ryzen processors do not use dividers that allow to use memory in DDR4-3000 and DDR4-3400 modes, so you have to choose the "nearest multiple" DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3500.  While operation in modes above DDR4-2667 is not guaranteed, the basic safe level for systems based on Ryzen 7 is the DDR4-2133 mode.  However, the memory manufacturers have already started certification of kits that work with Ryzen 7 processors in DDR4-3200 mode.  By May, as AMD promises, many motherboards will learn to work with DDR4-3200 when using a wide range of memory modules.  In their laboratories AMD managed to make memory on Samsung chips work in DDR4-3500 mode.
