March 29, Samsung will introduce the new flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +.   The image above show Samsung Galaxy S8, and its Plus version, because outwardly they will look alike, differing only in the size of the case and the display.  So, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will get a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels (Quad HD) bent on both sides, while the Galaxy S8 + will be equipped with a curved 6.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with the same resolution. In the near future, Motorola will release  smartphone Moto Z 2017 model year.   According to Lenovo publication, , which owns the Motorola brand,  new smartphone Moto Z (2017) will be at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona.   And the US cellular operator Sprint, in turn, announced the launch of a new service Gigabit Class LTE.  To demonstrate its capabilities Sprint used the future flagship smartphone Motorola, which is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with an integrated LTE modem X16.  It has four antennas and is running Android.  This is Moto Z 2017 model year. As expected, Moto Z (2017) in addition to the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will receive 4 GB of RAM and an iris scanner. NVIDIA company  continues to develop various directions of its developments, trying not to focus on only one video card.  And now, in her official blog, it announced a few hours ago about the debut of  new computing platform, called NVIDIA Jetson TX2. NVIDIA Jetson TX2 runs twice as fast as the first generation and is primarily targeted at developers of drones, robots, smart devices, cameras and other advanced compact devices. The platform circuit board is comparable in size to the size of a conventional bank card, but at the same time it carries a rather powerful hardware filling on the base of  NVIDIA Denver 2 and ARM Cortex-A57 cores.  Built-in GPU generation Pascal is able to cope with the output of 4K-video with a frequency of up to 60 frames per second, is based on 256 CUDA cores and is equipped with eight gigabytes of LPDDR4 graphics memory.  As a permanent storage device using flash memory eMMC up to 32 GB.  Communication with the outside world is provided by Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. At the moment, the pre-order of the TX2 Developer Kit in the US and Europe is open at a price of $ 599, shipping of the first devices will begin on March 14.  Deliveries of NVIDIA Jetson TX2 in the base configuration will begin even later, but at a price of $ 399.  In this case, the Jetson TX1 Developer Kit will also remain available for purchase at a price of $ 499. The newest processor should run the latest version of the operating system - the logic seems to be simple and understandable.  The newest operating system  must "know" all the instructions implemented in the processor and  able to distribute the load as efficiently as possible if the processor has several cores, especially with the support of "simultaneous multithreading" technologies, when the processor is presented to the operating system as if it had twice as many core than it is really . The reality turns out to be harsh: the software creation of some corporation with its headquarters in Redmond, known as  "Windows 10 operating system", formally though relevant, in fact proved unable to fully work with the new AMD processors.  According to the article published at WCCTech , there is a whole fan of flaws in this OS, which means that the AMD Ryzen processors simply do not show all their performance potential. First, the operating system Windows 10 can not distinguish between the logical and physical core AMD Ryzen, as it does with Intel processors.  For the Windows 10 Task Scheduler,  Ryzen R7 looks like a full-fledged 16-core CPU and, accordingly, the load is distributed evenly, which leads to conflict situations, when one physical core has to load both logical cores, while the other physical core is idle at the same time.  As a result, instead of performance gain of 20-30%, as in the case of Intel processors, there is a drop in performance.  Often it turns out that disabling SMT even improves performance in cases when the application does not know how to parallelize to a large number of threads, which is confirmed by the results of testing a number of Internet resources. For the sake of justice, I must say that such a problem was at one time with Intel HyperThreading, but then was the implementation of SMT  , 15 years ago (SMT support was implemented in Intel Xeon processors in February 2002 Year, and in November of the same year it also entered the consumer market in Pentium 4 processors). Secondly, as it turned out, Windows also incorrectly determines the amount of L2 and L3 caches of AMD Ryzen R7, considering that it is as much as 136 MB, whereas in reality it is almost seven times smaller - 20 MB.
