An interesting case for drives this week was found in local stores of a colleague from the Japanese website AKIBA PC Hotline .  The Netstor product allows connecting several PCI Express 3.0 drives to Apple systems equipped with the Thunderbolt 3 interface.   The case with the overall dimensions of 371 x 110 x 200 mm is equipped with its own power supply unit with a power of 300 W, it allows to install two drives with a PCI Express x8 (3.0) connector and one drive with PCI Express x4 interface (3.0).  The fourth PCI Express x16 slot is occupied by the service controller, which provides two Thunderbolt 3.0 ports with the ability to connect other devices in series. The cooling of the case and the components installed in it is handled by a single fan with a size of 80 x 80 x 20 mm. The case has a steel frame in which aluminum panels are fastened. LG confirmed the official announcement date of the new smartphone LG V30 .  As predicted by sources, it will be held on the eve of the opening of the annual exhibition IFA 2017. The invitation, which LG sent to media representatives yesterday, says that the smartphone LG V30 will be presented at a special event in Berlin on August 31.  It will replace the LG V20 released last fall and will be the first LG smartphone with an OLED display since LG G Flex 2 in 2015.  It will be a 6-inch Full Vision display with a resolution of 2880x1440 pixels (QHD +), made using P-OLED technology.  It will be covered with a strong protective glass Gorilla Glass 5. More than a week ago, Sony's new flagship smartphone, called Xperia XZ1, was tested in GeekBench.  From the database benchmark, we learned that it is based on the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and has 4 GB of RAM.  And now the novelty has appeared in GFXBench, having declassified the remaining technical characteristics. Sony Xperia XZ1 with model numbers G8341 and G8342 passed the test in GFXBench was reported by our colleagues from GSMArena .  In addition to the above-mentioned chip, it is also equipped with a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD), 64 GB of internal memory, main and front cameras with a resolution of 19 and 13 megapixels respectively.  Both cameras of the new smartphone are capable of shooting 4K-video.  In addition, there is support for GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi.
