Qualcomm Inc., which is 75% of its profits from licensing technology, is in a very difficult relationship with the Chinese manufacturers of smartphones.  First they systematically underestimate reporting on the number of products sold to pay less royalty, then Chinese accused the US corporation in the abuse of market power and preventing fair competition.  As a result, Qualcomm had to fork out nearly a billion dollars, as well as to agree on the specific license terms of their technology in China. According to last year's press release on the Qualcomm website in the last days of the past year, the US corporation was able to negotiate with the Meizu about technology licensing terms used in the manufacture of mobile devices with support for CDMA2000 networks, WCDMA and 4G LTE.  All patent claims against Qualcomm in China Meizu jurisdiction, Germany, France and the United States are removed.  Financial agreement are not detailed, but it is reported that the value of royalties Meizu will meet Qualcomm agreement with the Chinese authorities, reached in 2015.
