Bungie and Activision announced the date of beginning testing the PC-version Destiny 2 .  Wait another month : an open beta test on the PC starts on August 29 and will last two days - until August 31. In addition, the developers announced minimum and recommended system requirements for the beta version.  The minimum acceptable configuration is the following: Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350 processor, 6 GB of RAM and video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7850. The recommended requirements are even more serious: the Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X processor, 8 GB of RAM and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390 graphics card. Those who played Wolfenstein: The New Order, remember that in the game you can make a choice that creates one of two time lines, which to a certain extent depends on the further passage and survival / death of some characters.  From the video presented on E3 2017 to Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus learned that players will be able to transfer the consequences of their choice to a new game, but neither the publisher nor the developer really explained how this system will be implemented.   At the recent Bethesda event creative director Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus finally explained how exactly the system of transferring progress from the previous game was implemented.  To be frank, the system is trivial and is already used in almost all self-respecting sequel games: there will be no transfer of preservations, instead, a possibility to select one of the two time lines from the previous part is built into the game at an early stage. What will be affected by this choice in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the developers did not explain, and correctly: it is better to find out for ourselves on October 27 on all relevant platforms. For their new AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors, which will see the light very soon, AMD decided to use a monstrous LGA processor with 4094 contacts, called Socket TR4 (SP3r2).  As is well known to fans of another processor manufacturer, the new processor connector means the need to use new cooling systems, or at least new attachments for existing ones. Cooling system manufacturers will offer various solutions for installing their existing cooling systems to a new AMD processor socket.  Our colleagues from Tom's Hardware have already received mounts for the Eisblock XPX waterblock from Alphacool (pictured above), which has not yet officially announced the support of Socket TR4.   In the image above you can see the result of overlaying  drawing of the processor socket on the cooling system .  The first thing  is the asymmetrical arrangement of the fastening holes.  To the left they are located at a distance of 65.2 mm from each other, and to the right ¬- only 46 mm.  Also, judging by everything, cooling systems with a square base, for example, Alphacool waterblocks, will have an advantage over solutions with a round base, for example, ASEUK water blocks. It is reported that the water block Eisblock XPX covers about 90% of the processor cover.  However, it is noted that the placement of the "comb" of microchannels is not optimal for Ryzen Threadripper processors, because they include four separate crystals, which requires a larger area .  Nevertheless, for stable operation and even some overclocking, existing Alphacool waterblocks should be enough.  It will be interesting to see how the manufacturers of cooling systems will adapt their products to new processors.
