Yesterday we wrote about the fact that HP is planning to strengthen its position in the market of copiers, and we now know how it will happen. Companies HP Inc and Samsung Electronics today announced an agreement under which HP Inc acquires  Samsung unit, engaged in the production of  printing equipment. The deal amounted to 1.05 billion US dollars. Despite the market contraction printing and copying equipment,  HP believes that this transaction will enable  market refresh  , as well as   strengthen its position. The main objective, the company aims to oust from the corporate segment of the complex and expensive to maintain copying machines, replacing them with new MFPs. Of course, this will take place through the use of Samsung D, which, among other things, bad succeeded in MFIs, including  office. Over the past year, by the way, a division of Samsung printing technology has brought about $ 1.8 billion in revenue. After closing the transaction, which will take place in about a year, due to various approvals from the regulatory authorities, HP shall receive department, which now employs about 6,000 employees, of which 1300 are qualified researchers and developers. Until now Pascal architecture computing among NVIDIA accelerators offered only series products Tesla P100 , based on the graphic processor and is equipped with a memory GP100 type HBM2. NVIDIA announced the imminent start of deliveries of accelerators Tesla P40 (GP102) and Tesla P4 (GP104). It is noteworthy that Tesla P40 and Tesla P4 give preference to GDDR5 memory, refusing not only on HBM2, but also on GDDR5X.  According to rough estimates  , if Tesla P40 is limited to frequencies around 1600/7200 MHz with TDP level not more than 250 W, in the case of the Tesla P4 desire to limit power consumption 50-75 W range forces to adhere to the frequency of about 1100/6000 MHz.
