I am on a quest for knowledge, I want to know your opinion of the best processor for a computer. For my purposes it would be a gaming computer. Thanks

FOR the moment the Q6600 is considered as the best price /performance and future game . This processor has quad core and can be easily overclocked to 3 GHz. It's price should be just around 250$

I have heard Intel is really good. I have an AMD Athon 64 3200 in my system right now. It works rather well.

Yeah i loved my A64 system ,
This was a A64 3000 + venice core running @ 2900 MHz  Grin (Faster than FX 57).
