features of dual core processor?

i want to know that what extra features are there in dual core processor and how it is more useful.Please give some useful info.

Dual processor is a must those day .
Many applications (video coding , editing , gaming , programming ....) are already optimised for dual core , Usually user Get from 30 to 70 % performance boost going from single to dual core processor .
Instead of OLD intel HT (Hyper threading) with 2 virtual core , you will get a true real dual core processor .
In other word users can run and use more application with faster performance .

wht i know about core duo 2 processor is that it is much faster and provide better performance, heats up slowly and very suitable of all advanced applications.

It will provide u with agood performance boost in multithreaded apps and if u want to run alot of programs simultaneously ,not in speed
imagine a truck which carry goods and a speed of  30 mile/hr
what will happen if u add 2 , 3 or even 4 of the same truck with same specs
u will carry more and more goods but in the same 30 mile/hr not in 120
