AMD VS Intel - whose side are you on?

What do you prefer, AMD or Intel when it comes to having a fast reliable and successful computer.

1) Intel has currently the fastest processor , 2) Intel processor run cool , 3) Intel processor overclock a lot higher .
1) Slower than intel processor (but performance still acceptable) , 2) Run normally , 3) poor overclocking potential .

I'm currently using Intel for my notebook and desktop computer. I think I will not go back to AMD until they figure out how to cool down their overheating processor.

These days the technology in AMD is good. For a normal user like me without gaming, i would say AMD and Intel are good. No differences. Infact AMD is lesser in price. But for a professional animanalist, gamer Intel is the best.

if you are looking for fast and reliable computer with an extra advantage of overclocking then do not consider the price, just go for the intel.The price difference is not as big.

Intel Intel Intel. I'm not a fanboy but then I want the fastest and stablest thing. And Intel fits both these requirements plus the added overclocking makes it a clear win.

AMD is decreasing it's delay and loss of competition by reducing prices so for most non overclocking users they should go for the processor that assured best bang for the bucks and it's often AMD

I used to be a giant AMD fanboi, but the more I read about current processors, the more I'm leaning towards Intel for my next purchase.  It's hard to argue with faster/cooler/more efficient!  Hopefull AMD stays competitive.  Competition increases quality for every brand.

I was nevar a big fan of AMD, AMD processors used to be better then intel but now intel is leading.AMD is cheaper but you need to compromise so,b ottom line is you get what you pay for. Intel chips are far more reliable and with intel hardware run flawless.

I think AMD did still have a good reputation until it messed up badly on the B2 stepping phenom's TLB bugs. Even though the bugs were not TOO much to worry about, and would generally be triggered only in extreme circumstances, it was still overhyped and AMD lost its trust in the customers. Add to that the side by side launch of 45nm Processors, Intel made a fortune!

If I have to say something that's good about AMD though, I'd have to say that the installation process is way easier. I've installed Semprons, X2's and Intel's high-end single core and low-end dual cores, and I find that AMD's heatsink/fan combinations are way easier to install than Intel's awful push-pin heatsink/fans

Right AMD heat sink is a lot easier to install . but I don't really care since i am using (single stage or water  )

yes its easier as compared to INTEL's heat sink but still the amount of force required to clamp down the heatsink to the CPU is scary.
