Well 128 mb is outdated already . what is your current budget .
THe Nvidia 8800 GT (512 MB ) is good enough for most today game and cost just over 250 $ (USA). For 200$ u can get the 9600GT (512 MB) just a bit slower than the 8800 GT .
I don't recommend any other cards .
What is your current resolution ?.

All depend on your budget
How much do u plan to invest :
u can get a decent computer for 500$ or for 2000$ .
Here is a good (average) configuration :
Intel E8200 (Overclock to 4 GHz) .
Intel p 35 chipset (Asus p5k , e- or deluxe .. or Gigabyte .... ) .
2 GB PC 6400 (DDR 800) memory . OCZ , patriot .
2 x 750 GB HDD (raid 0 or 1 ) (or just one )
8800 GT or GTS .
PSU : Ocz 600w or coolermaster .

Get a 9600GT. I can play each and every game, even Crysis, at high settings, and every game except Crysis, with 4x AA. Cheesy

guys why you all dropped ATI away it's not that bad
Radeon 3870 Is a very good competitor to the 9600 gt and about the same price also the 3850which is a bit faster than both
