For his traditional last-minute surprise near the end of the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote today, Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs announced that the company is releasing a beta of its Safari browser that runs on the rival Windows operating system.

I downloaded Safari to my WinXP PC today. I'm not sure I like it better than Firefox.

As CNet reports, security researchers managed to find security holes in the Windows version of Safari within hours of the browser's release.
Well, that's not good. You would think Apple would test this stuff out before releasing it.
I think I'll be uninstalling Safari today.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Firefox.
If someone was going to download it, would you recommend the most recent version, or does that one have any issues?

I don't see any deference between FireFox 2 and FireFox 1.5 .
The 2 version just look better.
