hi folks, i have heard that sony lcd tv's can also be used as a monitor.Is it true ?Does anyone of you use lcd tv as a monitor?

Currently all new video card from AMD (ATI) and most from NVIDIA support HDMI and display port , so u can connect them to the new monitor with HDMI .

cant say anything about lcd tv but i am having a normal sony tv and it also has a port for monitor out.Although,I never used it as monitor.

Yes you can. Most Sony LCD TV's support DVI or HDMI. And latest nVidia or AMD graphics adapters do support both of them.
