Intel dunnington 6 core characteristics and prices

In the following year-half intel company will present the six-core processors dunnington, which are the association of three pairs of penryn core generation on one chip with the general  third level cache. This will be first in the history Intel multi-core processor with a monolithic chip, and the world\'s first processor with six cores. Dunnington processors are intended for xeon MP segment , they will obtain the socket mPGA 604, and they will preserve compatibility with four core processors tigerton.

Today appeared the characteristics and prices of the first dunnington representatives  .

Dunnington six-core and four core processor models has 12 MB or 16 MB cache ., There are also four core processor with 8 MB cache  . The number of core in dunnington processors decreases by pairs, and the cache capacity in the third level - increase/decrease by 4 MB.

Here are the prices and characteristics of dunnington processors  :

• Xeon x7470 - > six cores, frequency 2.66 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=120 W, cache capacity in the third level 16 MB, wholesale price $2729;


• Xeon e7459 - > six cores, frequency 2.4 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=80 W, cache capacity in the third level 12 MB, wholesale price $2301;


• Xeon e7440 - > four core, frequency 2.4 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=80 W, cache capacity in the third level 12 MB, wholesale price $1980;


• Xeon e7430 - > four core, frequency 2.13 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=80 W, cache capacity in the third level 12 MB, wholesale price $1391;


• Xeon e7420 - > four core, frequency 2.13 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=80 W, cache capacity in the third level 8 MB, wholesale price $1177;


• Xeon l7455 - > six cores, frequency 2.13 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=50 W, cache capacity in the third level 12 MB, wholesale price $2729;


• Xeon l7445 - > four core, frequency 2.13 GHz, system bus 1066 MHz, TDP=50 W, cache capacity in the third level 12 MB, wholesale price $1980.

Let us recall that these processors will be released on 45 nm technology, but TDP level for high-end model will not exceed 130 W.
