hello there
usb 2.0 offers more speed and can take more power from system as compared to usb 1.1.But how would we know that which one we are using.

i am using usb 1.1. but i think yeah, usb 2.0 is much better because of its speed. well, i would love to try that one. thanks

Most today device and motherboard are Usb2.0 compatible . what is your motherboard ? and what is the device plugged ?

according to your mobo and device interface of course usb jack is the same so they both handle it internally without any interference from you
