Hey Xtreview,

''1) graphic driver problem , update your drivers''
   - Driver is: - 8.9 on xp
                  - 8.10 on vista
''2) Windows problem time for fresh install''
   - I have a fresh install for both os
''3) software running in the background are causing those issues (check especially anti virus and monitoring software , just disable them all and check if the problem persist )''
   - The truth is that my antivirus is set to very high sensitivity (i will try later with it turned off)
''If your motherboard is P5k then u have already one of the best motherboard , it do no make sense to update it''
   - Why ? Does pcie 2.0 makes no real diference in real life (games). In gaining some more fps, or smoother games. Although i have no problems in games.

As i said, in games i have no problems just in this tests. The drop in frames dont apear when the bump happends. This bump apear even at over 100 FPS with no drop at all. The curious think is that, this is not happening in games, and i do play very much online.

not so much , in order to update the motherboard for it , U deal here with additional 1-5 FPS @ high resolution (1600x1200 and above) , the higher the resolution the larger is the performance boost.

In which test those problem accrue ??
There is also a possible reason which is the monitor due to the slow response time . For gaming i highly recommend 2 ms response time with TN matrix (best currently).

I had some issue like those in my good old Asus A7n8x (socket A motherboard , Nforce 2 mobo) ; i was fixed after ACPI update in windows, but the last modification dropped the computer performance by about 5% .

This was the case of old motherboard as Xtreview Said , while overclocked i have the graphic stuttering in some game . But since my Nforce 3 is had never saw such problem with exception of running those software : Speed FAN or motherboard monitor .

Note also this may be cause by PCI bus Sharing , Your video card should get its own IRQ :

                             - 3DMark06 in XP
                             - 3DMark06 Vista
                             - 3DMark Vantage (on crt monitor & i dont remember if was any bump n there)
                             - Call of Juarez DX10
                             - Knights of the Sea DX10
The truth is that my LCD monitor old and with a God knows what response time and a max res. of 1024 x 768. I do wanna get now a Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW or 2233BW. The last one is with 5ms but a much bigger contrast ratio. Or even Samsung 24'' FullHD. I'm still waiting for the offers of the Hollydays.
