We already reported yesterday that the RV740 first 40 nm chip by AMD will appear on April present year.
RV790 XT will be based on the revision a11 of RV790 chip. The core will operate at 850 MHz frequency with 1.3 v. This is higher than the frequency and voltage for RV770, equal to 750 MHz and 1.26 v respectively. The GDDR5 Memory from qimonda production with the total volume of 1024 MB will operate at 3900 MHz QDR , as was reported earlier. Working memory voltage for RV790 will be equal to 1.5 v - this is lower than the memory voltage in radeon HD 4870. RV740 video card is described in two version - with 512 and 1024 MB GDDR 5 memory . In the first case, the default frequencies are equal to 700/3200 MHz, in the second - 700/3600 MHz. The core revision a11 can work with voltage from 0.9 to 1.26 v, memory works with voltage from 1.5 to 1.55 v. Now we can consider RV740 and RV790 by products, close to the announcement stage . | ||
