Changes after  the transition from Socket AM3 to Socket AM3 + are so insignificant that many motherboards with Socket AM3 socket can work with  Socket AM3 + processors, and mechanical systems incompatibility are not necessary.  The situation with Socket FM1 is different , but later we revealed that the majority of coolers for Socket AM3 platform will be installed without any problems on motherboard with Socket FM1 connector. In this context, the decision of some manufacturers of cooling systems to remind about the compatibility of existing products with new motherboards is a bit strange. The Austrian company Noctua two weeks ago announced that all has released in 2006 CPU cooler mounting system SecuFirm 2 have compatibility with motherboards equipped with socket Socket FM1 and Socket AM3 +.  The list of compatible with the new platforms cooler are :  NH-C14, NH-C12P SE14, NH-C12P, NH-D14, NH-U12P SE2, NH-U12P, NH-U12F, NH-U9B SE2, NH-U9B and NH-U9F. The Japanese company Scythe yesterday reminded consumers that all coolers from this manufacturer have compatibility with Socket AM3 + and Socket FM1.  List of coolers: Susanoo, Mugen 3, Mine 2, Yasya, Rasetsu, Ninja 3, Grand Kama Cross, Mugen 2 Rev.  B, Samurai ZZ, BIG Shuriken, Shuriken Rev.  B, Kozuti, Katana 3, Katana 3 Type I, Katana 3, Type A.
