Studying at the end of September the overclocking potential of 32 nm processors clarkdale stepping C0, we noted the ability of these processors to reach frequencies of approximately 4.5-4.6 GHz with the use of air cooling. Then we correctly assumed that clarkdale processors will be based on newer stepping.
Associate got the processor core i 5-650 (3.2 GHz) in the form of an engineering model with new stepping. We deal here with stepping C1. Using 1.424 v vcore and a combination of the multiplier with frequency 25 X 188 MHz Associate achieved the total frequency of 4.7 GHz.  The processor was cooled with noctua NH-U12P with fan coolink SWIF 2 120P. Under load the processor could work at the frequency 4.7 GHz for approximately 30 minutes. Related Products : | ||
