If in 2013 75 million motherboards were produced, then in 2016 this volume decreased to 50 million units, and this year it is unlikely to exceed 45 million items.  In addition, from 2018, too, one should not expect anything good. While the manufacturers of motherboards, which this year the Chinese market has strongly let down, still can somehow recoup in the market of video cards, as the crypto currency hype allows to increase both output volumes  , and proceeds.  The same Gigabyte Technology for the first nine months of this year released the same number of video cards as the entire previous year.  In the first half of this year, Gigabyte's revenues were regularly replenished by orders for server hardware.  However, for this company, 2018 promises to be not very simple, as the demand for video cards may fall, and the closest competitor in the person of Asustek continues to press this manufacturer.  By the end of this year, Gigabyte expects to release no more than 13 million motherboards.
