In order to equip PC with USB and SATA ports new generation, there are, at least, two methods. It is possible to use the appropriate motherboard, for example, gigabyte EX-58 extreme2. However, in case of a finished system, this way can prove to be too expensive and labor-consuming. Then it is possible to use the second method : to use the expansion card. ECS company proposes two products, designed for installation in the PCI-Express slots x1.
In the first photograph we have two ports superSpeed USB (USB 3.0). This card is based on the controller NEC PD720200. Let us recall, that the microcircuit indicated is the first in the world USB 3.0 controller.
