Almost a month ago appeared the characteristics and tests results of GeForce GT 240.  Yesterday a video card on this chip was presented officially, The standard design card appears as follows: The characteristics of card are : Support directX 10.1; Integrated sound core; 96 stream processors; 32 blocks of sample and textures filtering ; 8 blocks of scanning operations; Core clock frequency – 550 MHz, Shader domain – 1340 MHz; 128- bit memory. On the card can be installed 512 mb or 1 Gb video memory GDDR- 5, GDDR- 3 or DDR- 2 with the clock frequency of 1700, 1000 and 900 MHz, respectively. The cost will vary, depending on the volume and video memory type, in the limits $70-100. Unfortunately, possessing the recommended price, close to GeForce 9800 GT, this card do not has a high performance level . Even elder version, GDDR- 5 , demonstrates a productivity level, in comparison to only GeForce 9600 GT. Low-end versions are slower.
