On CES 2010 during January following year displayLink plans to demonstrate the devices models , which allow to transfer video by USB 3.0 interface at the speeds, close to the theoretical maximum - 4.8 gigabits per second. Deliveries of corresponding chips displayLink will start in the second-half 2010. The existing solutions, which are rested on the USB 2.0 interface, allow to transfer video at marketable grade with a speed of up to 60 frames per second, and for HD video with 26-27 frames per second. The new generation devices must remove similar limitations for HD video.

The new generation chips displayLink will be claimed entirely after the propagation of notebok with the support of USB 3.0. DisplayLink Developers hope that in a year Intel will stimulates the introduction of USB 3.0 support in the mobile solutions.
