AMD recently released Cedar - last chip in evergreen series. It became the base of the cheapest video card radeon HD 5450. The video card radeon HD 5570 presented by AMD is called to fill the formed niche. It is based on redwood graphic processor and has 400 stream processors, 20 units of sample and textures filtering , and also 16 blocks of scanning operations. With 1 Gb DDR3 video memory , Radeon HD 5570 communicates on the 128- bit memory bus. From the elder solution Redwood radeon HD 5670, the new card is characterized by the reduced from 775 MHz to 650 MHz core frequency , and also in practice the doubly reduced memory capacity , due to the use of DDR3 (1800 MHz DDR) instead of GDDR5 (4000 MHz QDR). All this allowed to reduce peak energy consumption to 43 W.   According to performance tests this card confidently goes around GeForce GT 220, but in the majority of cases it loses over GeForce GT 240.
